MONPAZIER, BIRON CHATEAU AND PREHISTORIC PARK - DORDOGNE

This is how i would look if i was a caveman. Notice how my head is so small compared to my body.
This is an example of how they built the troglodyte houses into the cliff.

This is one of the real caves that used to collect water that dripped from the rock. It also protected them when they were under threat of attack.

This is La Roc De Cazelle. It showed us the history cave men as well as caves and a real troglodyte home that the people only stopped living in the 1970's.

This is me in the attic of the castle. The roof is made of tiles. The tiles had a hook bit which allowed them to hook onto the beam and not slide off the roof.

This is the Chateau Biron. It is a huge castle which we visited.

This is the village of Monpazier. This village is also one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is a medieval bastide town which was founded in the year 1284. A bastide town is a fortified town which means walled like a fort for protection.
